All our volunteers who handle the birds will undertake special raptor handling training with the intention that the course will be certified and accredited with renowned national recognition. The training will include, but not limited to, identifying injuries and symptomatic related issues as a secondary injury, appropriate hydration and feeding techniques, handling, with enclosure and aviary management.
We also need volunteers to be rostered to staff the avian hospital; to retrieve rescued birds; to attend displays. ARRA needs of a web management person, and others with office skills.
Furthermore, with the ongoing construction of Aviaries, we will require volunteers either in brain power or in muscle to help erect construction of aviary structures to see the aviaries come to fruition.
